Located one hour away (or 46 miles), the Grand Mesa is the largest flat-topped mountain (aka Mesa) in the world! It stretches about 500 square miles.

Recently, Andy and I enjoyed a date night at Maison La Belle Vie. It was an early Valentine’s Day celebration that included a four-course meal and wine pairing. It was lovely!

Also known as the Pie Shop, this tasty establishment is literally just around the corner from us! Located at 3415 C ½ Road, in Palisade, this place is an icon within our community.

The Chocolate Therapist is truly a unique Chocolate, wine and coffee shop. Inside it is intimate and cozy with the combined aroma of sweet chocolate and fresh brewed coffee.

Every fall my family has a tradition where we travel to Happy Apple Farms for a morning or early afternoon of fruit picking and then follow that with a wine tasting and picnic at the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey.

Part of living a balanced and joyful life is remembering to take time for yourself and do the things you enjoy. I’m discovering as I become more self-aware that this is a challenge for me.

I’ve always thought traveling by train was kind of a romantic way to travel. There are several ways one can get to Palisade other than driving, one way is by train via Grand Junction.

Their tasting room in Palisade is located on a hill and so when you taste outside you are surrounded by the most amazing views of the valley with Mesa’s and blue sky as far as the eye can see. Down below, you are surrounded by vineyards and peach orchards. For me, It’s a vision of heaven.

The scenery that surrounds Restoration is breathtaking and the perfect backdrop for a concert on the green. You can see Mount Garfield in the distance and then all around you are vineyards. Their wines are delightful!
