Shared studio space for artists’ & writers’ retreats coming soon!

Posh Studio I is an intimate creative space. Home to artist in residence Kim Putnam, this is her private studio primarily used for painting and drawing. The adjacent outdoor covered patio offers additional space for private summer art lessons given by Kim. Views of the Grand Mesa and Mount Garfield surround the studio and offer daily inspiration. The patio is also where our resident artist can enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning or an afternoon glass of wine with her husband.

As Palisade Posh continues to evolve, additional creative spaces will include Posh Studio II, a ceramic studio with potters’ wheels and kiln shed, and a larger Posh Studio III designed and built to accommodate both printmaking and painting.

The Haiku Hut, another intimate creative space, will be located in the Cutting garden across from Posh Studio III. This space will offer visiting writers an opportunity to pen their thoughts and reflect on the beauty that surrounds them.

Artist In Residence

As a female multimedia artist and activist, I often use my art to explore themes of identity, objectification, gender bias, the male gaze, and voice as agency. Most recently, I’m inspired by my immediate surroundings in Palisade; sunrises, sunsets, and the breath-taking views of the Grand Mesa and Mount Garfield. I also take inspiration from our market garden and the fruits, vegetables, and flowers grown in it. These influences are evident in my most recent work focusing on Mother Earth.
