Posh Market Garden

Inspiring Creative Living

Taking Root in 2024. Located on East Orchard Mesa, Posh Market Garden will evolve over time to include fruits, vegetables, flowers, herbs and outdoor entertaining space. When you visit you will find:

Petite Fruit Orchard
Pecan Trees
Vegetable Patch
Soft Fruit Patch
Herb Garden
Flower Cutting Garden
Beehive

Spring 2024 we planted our petite orchard, vegetable garden and built a green house. The orchard offers two varieties of cherries, pears, apricots, the famous Palisade peaches, and three varieties of apples. We also introduced two beehives the summer of 2024, and will expand our hives over time. Eventually Posh Market Garden will provide on site honey.

The vegetable patch includes a variety of veggies such as Lettuce, Swiss Chards, Heirloom tomatoes, Lemon cucumbers, Garlic, Leeks, Shallots and Asparagus. Vegetables may vary from year to year depending on the demand. Guests of Posh Cottage are invited to enjoy the gardens, harvesting their own vegetables for a true farm to table experience. The vegetable garden will also be home to two large beds of cut flowers until the cutting garden is complete in 2026.

The center of the market garden is home to a spacious outdoor dining area that will evolve over time to include a pergola and fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bistro lighting powered by the sun. The market garden will also include a secondary outdoor fire pit with ample seating.

Designed with wide strolling paths each section of the market garden will offer seating so guests can relax and take in the views, visiting artists can set up their easels and paint or draw and writers can reflect. Located in the south corner of the vegetable garden will be comfortable seating for two so guests can enjoy our Palisade sunsets will a relaxing glass of wine.

In 2025, Posh Gardens will introduce the soft fruit patch which will be home to seasonal strawberries, raspberries both red and white, blackberries, gooseberries and a mulberry tree reminiscent of Kim’s childhood growing up in the Midwest.

2026, Posh Gardens will expand to include a cutting garden offering a variety of fresh flowers. The Herb garden will be added in 2027 and offer both culinary and botanical herbs.

Over time additional landscaping around the market garden will include arching trellis covered in flowering honeysuckle, inspired by Kim’s urban garden in Denver, Colorado and converging walking paths lined with lavender boarders providing relaxing scent as guests stroll the grounds.

As our Market Garden has a multi-year timeline for development guests are encourage and invited to return often so they can be a part of the garden’s evolution and the development of the property as a whole.
